Paul Salierno is thrilled to join the Westwood Regional School District as the Vocal and General Music Teacher at Brookside and Berkeley Elementary Schools. He earned his Bachelor of Music in Vocal Music Education from Rutgers University in 2019. Prior to coming to Westwood, Mr. Salierno taught elementary vocal/general music in the Verona Public Schools and served as Music Director for Verona High School’s Spotlight Players. He has completed Level I certification in Somatic Voicework™ from the LoVetri Institute and participated in the CCM Vocal Pedagogy Institute at Shenandoah University. In addition to his classroom teaching, Mr. Salierno maintains a private voice studio, working with students from fifth grade through adulthood throughout North Jersey. An active performer, Mr. Salierno regularly serves as a section leader and soloist for churches and choirs across New Jersey and has appeared in productions with Chatham Community Players and interACT Theatre Productions. He believes that meaningful music learning begins with building strong relationships and strives to create a classroom where students feel safe, seen, supported, and inspired. Mr. Salierno is excited to begin working with the students, families, and staff of the Westwood community.
