By using the "Salah Balance" app, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Location Information:
• Purpose: We collect your device's location data on a limited and temporary basis for the sole purpose of accurately calculating prayer times based on your current geographical location.
• Storage: We do not store or link your location data to our servers. The calculation is processed instantly, and the location is not retained after completion unless you grant the app perpetual access to update prayer times automatically. You can manage location permissions at any time through your device settings.
2. App Usage Data:
• Purpose: We use Google Analytics to collect anonymized information about how you interact with the app. This helps us understand the most-used features, identify errors, and improve the overall user experience.
• Nature of Data: This data is completely anonymous and does not include any personal information about you or your recorded prayer data. Examples include session duration, feature usage rates (e.g., the statistics screen), device type, and operating system version.
3. Anonymous Prayer Statistics:
• Purpose: To enhance the app, improve your experience, and guide future development, we may collect fully anonymous statistics about performed prayers (such as the average number of daily prayers per user, or general goal achievement rates).
• Nature of Data: These statistics are strictly anonymous and cannot in any way be linked back to you or your personal identity. We do not know who you are and do not collect any details about your personal prayers. Data is aggregated at a general level across all users.
4. Personal Prayer & Worship Data (Local Only):
• Storage: All personal data you record within the app (such as your prayer times, Khushu ratings, Dhikr, and personal goals) is stored locally on your personal device only.
• Privacy: We do not access, view, upload, or store this personal data on any external servers. It belongs solely to you.
• To provide and operate the core service (calculating prayer times, sending notifications).
• To analyze anonymous app performance and improve it using Google Analytics.
• To analyze anonymous prayer statistics to understand general usage patterns and guide the app's future development.
• To troubleshoot technical issues and provide user support.
We do not sell, rent, or share any personal data with third parties in any way.
We only share anonymous usage data with our service provider, Google Analytics, in accordance with their Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, for the analytical purposes mentioned above.
• Location & Notification Permissions: You can manage permissions for location access and notifications at any time through your device settings.
• Personal Prayer Data: As your personal data is stored locally, you can export a backup (if the feature is available) or completely delete the app from your device, which will erase all associated data.
• Ad Reset: You can use your device settings to opt out of personalized ads from Google.
We rely on the built-in security of operating systems (iOS/Android) to secure data stored locally on your device. While we take reasonable measures to protect the information we collect, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
Our app is suitable for all age groups and we do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13 (or the required legal age in your country). If we discover that we have collected such information inadvertently, we will take steps to delete it immediately.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy within the app and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top. We advise you to review this policy periodically for any changes.
