Hello! I am Sajjad Uddin Mahmud, a second-year Ph.D. student in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Washington State University, Pullman, WA, USA. My main area of research focuses on how high-impact, low-probability events — like hurricanes, floods, winter storm — affect the power system. Through this research, I am committed to developing effective strategies and solutions to ensure power grid resilience and maintain reliable energy delivery in the face of extreme weather events.
I also have extensive experience in designing and implementing grid-integrated rooftop solar systems, solar irrigation systems, and solar home systems in my home country, Bangladesh.
I am passionate about hiking. I also love painting and sketching.
