"Why" You May Ask :
Most AI models are trained on Western data or at least in Western and Asian Languages. When they try to speak Tumbuka or Chichewa, they lose the culture, the nuances, and the accuracy.
Our Solution?
At Saints Studios, we don't just translate; we re-train. Using a specialized fine-tuning process called PEFT (Parameter-Efficient Fine-Tuning), we teach models like Llama-3 and Gemma to think and respond natively in Bantu languages...and at the moment we have started with a language we are very familiar with, that also has very few literature resources, and that language is Chitumbuka. Our goal is to cover the whole of Africa.
