SipSafe is a smart nail polish that changes color when it detects common date rape drugs like GHB, Rohypnol, or Ketamine in drinks. Just dip your finger into the beverage—if it’s unsafe, the polish reacts instantly, helping you stay alert and protected during nights out. Stylish, simple, and safety-first.

HOARDING
SipSafe was born out of a pressing need to address the rising concerns around drink spiking and women's safety in social spaces. The idea was to create a discreet, user-friendly tool that integrates seamlessly into a person’s lifestyle without drawing attention—something as effortless and everyday as nail polish, but with the power to prevent harm.
We began by studying how common date rape drugs are undetectable in beverages and researched existing chemical indicators that could react with substances like GHB, Rohypnol, and Ketamine. The challenge was to incorporate this functionality into a cosmetic product that remains safe, stable, and stylish.
Our goal wasn’t just to design a product—it was to start a conversation around consent, safety, and empowerment. SipSafe is not a solution to the larger issue of assault, but a step towards giving individuals more agency and awareness in vulnerable situations.
