Activity: Tree Plantation Challenge Competition

It is high time that we start acting like a responsible citizen. To make the air we breathe clean, planting trees is the most effective solution. Samad chacha has shown us that each of us has a responsibility towards the environment. As he said “How much can I do alone? You all should plant trees.”

Keeping this in mind Youth Opportunities, had been came up with an exciting project with The Daily Star and Volunteer for Bangladesh to take the legacy of Samad chacha forward by planting trees around us.

Activity: Business Ideas regarding education sectors

WorldLabs’ mission is to help ideas develop and grow by providing the funding, tools and connections needed to thrive. Too many promising entrepreneurial projects fall by the wayside due to lack of resources, help or funding.

This is why WorldLabs created the Elevating Ideas Competition: to give the ability to showcase ideas, find valuable collaborators and gather the supporters we need to elevate our project to the next level.

Activity: Business Ideas about Youth Employment

The Hult Prize is a global competition done in partnership with Clinton Global Initiative and Hult Business school. The aim of this competition is to solve social problems through creating profitable businesses. Every year president Clinton states a problem the world is facing and students from all around the world compete to make a business that will minimize or end it. The winner of the competition gets 1,000,000 dollars.

Mission of Hult Prize at University of Dhaka is to find and train entrepreneurs, then host the competition on campus. The winning team are sent to represent us in Hult prize regionals

DUGEO-Exposure is one of the finest activities from Department of Geology, University of Dhaka, where associated clubs, student chapters organize a 3-4 days long event included with lectures, workshops, competitions for schools, college & university attendees.

Activity: Beat the Plastic Challenge Competition

Our lack of concern makes us dump using non-biodegradable material i.e. plastics along with other garbage and we, sometimes even unknowingly, pollute our seas, lakes, rivers, lands and eventually the whole environment. Keeping this in mind Youth Opportunities, the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) and The Daily Star had come together with an exciting eco-friendly project- a challenge to turn nature’s all-time stubborn foe to its best friend! The challenge was to turn plastics- nature’s enemy to your own oxygen factory.

Activity: Environmental Case Competition

JU Earth Society arranged 'Defenders-2018'-an Environmental Case competition for students from any university from Bangladesh. The theme for Defenders 2018 was "Sustainable Renewable Energy". We presented a sustained transportation system model where the noise pollution would be minimum.

Edupreneurship Idea Quest 2017 was the country's first and biggest national competition focusing on ideas related to education organized by EES and the co-curricular activities committee of IER, University of Dhaka. Through a variety of capacity building initiatives, Edupreneurship Idea Quest 2017 was seeking to promote a vibrant education entrepreneurship ecosystem by identifying and supporting talented future-edupreneurs who are committed to improving educational equity and quality. We presented our ventures 'Science Squad' at this platform to get the seed fund for running the pilot projects.

The conference included with Petrobowl, Debate and Poster Presentation Competition followed by a technical workshop. Participated in all of the events as a sophomore to be connected with various industrial practices as well as to enhance geological knowledge.

"Landslide Controlling Methods in Bangladesh & Innovative Solutions"

Posters are often used to share information and are an important part of many conferences, seminars and exhibitions. They may be used to present quite complex material, and so it is important that the information on them is well laid out, legible and attractively presented. The main idea of Poster Presentation 2017 was to include any of the following sections: Structure, Environment, Water Supply, Waste Management, Transportation, Geo technical & Soil Engineering or Construction management.

Activity: Business Case Competition

The “EWU SUPPLY CHAIN CHALLENGE, 2017” was the first ever Inter-University agro-based supply chain competition for the undergraduate students of this country. The event provided the chances to the future leaders to know the problems, limitations, and barriers related to the current supply chain of our country’s biggest human employing sector.

The World Environment Day 2017 called for ‘Connecting People with Nature’.

Inspired by this, Bangladesh Youth Environmental Initiative (BYEI) and partners launched a Vision Contest: "Reconnecting Urban Sphere with Nature". We participated as university students living in the key urban centers around the country to submit ideas for eco-friendly solutions to some of the key challenges faced in today’s urban development.
