Said El Kafhali is a computer science professor in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the Faculty of Sciences and Techniques, Hassan First University of Settat, Morocco. He earned his B.S. in Computer Science from the Faculty of Sciences at Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University, Fez, Morocco, in 2005. He then obtained an M.S. in Mathematical and Computer Engineering from Hassan First University of Settat in 2009, followed by a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the same institution in 2013. Dr. El Kafhali joined the Faculty of Sciences and Techniques in January 2018, having previously spent four years teaching at the National School of Applied Sciences in Khouribga, Morocco.
At his current position, he instructs both graduate and undergraduate courses in areas such as cloud computing, computer and network security, computer networks, object-oriented design and programming, and performance modeling and analysis. His research interests include queuing theory, performance modeling, cloud computing, the Internet of Things, Fog/Edge computing, network security, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
Dr. El Kafhali serves as an academic editor for the journals International Journal of Intelligent Systems (since August 17, 2022), Applied Computational Intelligence and Soft Computing (since December 06, 2021), and Mathematical Problems in Engineering (since March 22, 2022). He is also on the Editorial Review Board of the International Journal of Fog Computing (IJFC) (since February 02, 2018) and the International Journal of Blockchains and Cryptocurrencies (since May 22, 2018). Additionally, he regularly reviews for prominent journals and conferences published by IEEE, Elsevier, Wiley, and Springer. His extensive publications focus on computer systems modeling, performance, queuing theory, cloud computing, the Internet of Things, Fog/Edge computing, artificial intelligence, and data science.
