Short Biography

Said El Kafhali is a computer science professor at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, Faculty of Sciences and Techniques, Hassan First University of Settat, Morocco. He received a B.S. degree in Computer Sciences from the Faculty of Sciences, Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University, Fez, Morocco, in 2005, an M.S. degree in Mathematical and Computer Engineering from the Faculty of Sciences and Techniques, Hassan First University of Settat, Morocco, in 2009, and the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the same institution in 2013. He joined the Faculty of Sciences and Techniques in January 2018. Before joining the Faculty of Sciences and Techniques, Dr. Said El Kafhali worked for four years at the National School of Applied Sciences of Khouribga, Morocco, and is teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in the areas of cloud computing, computer and network security, computer networks, object-oriented design, object-oriented programming, and performance modeling and analysis. His current research interests queuing theory, performance modeling and analysis, Cloud computing, the Internet of Things, Fog/Edge computing and network security, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence. He serves as an academic editor for Computational Intelligence and Neuroscience (from June 30, 2022, to present), Applied Computational Intelligence and Soft Computing, (from December 06, 2021, to present), Mathematical Problems in Engineering (from March 22, 2022 to present).  He serves also on the Editorial Review Board for the International Journal of Fog Computing (IJFC) (from February 02, 2018, to present), and the International Journal of Blockchains and Cryptocurrencies (from May 22, 2018, to present). He is also a regular reviewer for prestigious journals and conferences, including those published by IEEE, Elsevier, Wiley, and Springer. Dr. Said El Kafhali has published widely in the area of computer systems modeling and performance, queueing theory, cloud computing, Internet of things and Fog/Edge computing, artificial intelligence, and data sciences.
