COMMONOMICS MEET - 2021 was organized by DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL, SECTOR-14, GURUGRAM in August 2021. Fifteen(15) schools of GPSC participated in the events. The objective of the “Commonomics Meet” was to make students experience a vibrant environment and augment their skills. Current times have seen dramatic shifts in consumer behavior spurred by the pandemic, flagging new trends like the home’s transformation into a multifunctional refuge used for work, school, leisure and exercise. Therefore, it becomes pertinent that we encourage our students to not only follow the trends but gain new experiences and become the trend-setters for coming generations. Keeping in pace with the same objective, we organized a number of events for students of various schools under the GPSC banner.
Event ‘FUMETTO’ aimed at challenging the imagination of the students as they were required to integrate art and at the same time not compromise on the content of the comic strip. Various topics assigned for the event included e-commerce , stock market , sustainable development and corporate responsibility.
Event ‘MEME-O-MAGIC’, an exciting inter-school online event was conducted for the students of grades XI and XII. The purpose of the event was to make the students use their artistic skills and amalgamate humor with topics such as Entrepreneurship, Consumer Protection, Marketing and Investments to create a meme. The memes were truly amazing.
Event ‘A SHOT FOR A SHORT’ was organized where the participants were supposed to create a short film on the challenges ahead for the economy, considering lock-down and pandemic's negative upshots.
Event ‘KAHANI UNSUNI’ A story composition and narration competition was organized on 6 August 2021 for Classes IX-XII. It was an endeavor to direct students towards the creative path of writing and engage in active expression through a video of narration of their story. The videos were spectacular.
All the events were quite fruitful in meeting their objectives and were highly appreciated
