I am a quantum applications architect at PsiQuantum, working on developing quantum algorithms for chemistry, materials science and high energy physics applications.
Previously I held positions at Los Alamos National Laboratory as Director's postdoc fellow jointly in T2 (high-energy physics) and T4 (quantum and condensed matter physics) divisions, and at Caltech as It from Qubit and IQIM postdoc fellow. During these two appointments, I worked on quantum algorithms, quantum error correction, tensor networks, and their applications in high and low energy physics. I obtained my PhD from University of Vienna, under the supervision of Frank Verstraete, and my MSc degree from ETH Zurich under the supervision of Matthias Christandl. I hold BSc degrees in Electrical engineering and Physics, obtained in my hometown Ankara, METU.
In the past half decade I am most excited about inventing new efficient quantum algorithms, studying their performance under interesting physical conditions, and applying them into simulation of real-world problems.
