I am an assistant professor at the University of Manchester's School of Environment, Education and Development. 

My research is in the field of urban economics, real estate and housing economics. My research is published  in the Journal of Urban Economics, Journal of Development Economic, Journal of Regional Science, Environment and Urbanisation, among others. 

I actively contribute to urban policy in India. I am currently a non-resident fellow at CSEP India and was a visiting fellow at Brookings Institution (India Center).  I have led a report on affordable housing in India. 

I have bylines in international and Indian media --  Washington Post,  Hindu, Hindustan Times, Indian Express, Economic Times, Livemint among others, and my research has been cited in The Financial Times, BBC, The Straits Times, and others.
