Hello, thank you for visiting my webpage!
My name is Dr. Sagnik Chatterjee (He/Him), currently I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at IFIN-HH in Bucharest, Romania. My research interest lies in Astrophysics, specifically in understanding compact objects called Neutron Stars.
I obtained my Ph.D. from IISER Bhopal under the supervision of Prof. Ritam Mallick. My thesis, "Implications of the Misalignment Angle, Starquakes and Speed of Sound on the Structure and Observation of Neutron Stars", explores the complexities of these dense compact stars. During my Ph.D. tenure, I was also the recipient of the prestigious Prime Minister's Research Fellowship.Â
When I'm not immersed in research, I enjoy reading books. If you ever want to connect with me on GoodReads, I'm always up for some good recommendations!
