This Privacy Policy explains how Safrly ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Safrly Parent mobile application.

• Mobile number

• Password (authenticated through Firebase Authentication)

Profile Information

• Optional profile photo (stored using our image hosting provider)

Student Information Provided by You

• Student name

• School

• Grade/Level

• Gender

• Student photo

• Pickup address and location (including map coordinates)

• Attendance preferences

• Transport assignment details

Location Information

• Pickup locations you configure

• Device location when you choose your current location for a pickup point

• Live bus location during active trips (provided through the driver/trip system)

Notifications

• Device push notification token

• Notification preferences

App Preferences

• Language/locale and related settings

Technical Information

• Device and application identifiers required for authentication, messaging, security, and service operation

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Operate school transport services for your children

• Display bus status, trip progress, and live tracking during active trips

• Manage student profiles, pickup points, and attendance

• Send trip updates, assignments, and important notifications

• Maintain account security and provide customer support

• Improve our services

• Comply with applicable legal and school transport operational requirements

3. Children's Information

Safrly Parent is intended for use by parents and legal guardians.

Student information is provided by the parent or guardian solely to enable school transportation services. We process children's information only as necessary to provide transportation services to schools, assigned drivers, and authorised Safrly administrators.

4. Location Data

Pickup locations you provide are shared with the assigned school, driver, and authorised Safrly administrators as required to deliver transportation services.

Live bus tracking is available during active trips to help parents monitor transportation.

5. Sharing of Information

We share only the information necessary to provide the service with:

• The relevant school

• The assigned driver

• Authorised Safrly administrators

We also use trusted third-party service providers to process data on our behalf, including services for:

• Authentication and database management

• Push notifications

• Maps and location services

• Image hosting

We do not sell your personal data.

6. Data Retention & Security

We retain your information while your account remains active and for as long as necessary to provide our services and meet legal or operational obligations.

We implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your information. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.

You may:

• Access and update your profile and student information within the app

• Manage notification preferences

• Change language settings

• Request account deletion using the in-app Delete Account feature or by contacting support
