This Privacy Policy explains how Safrly (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Safrly Driver mobile application.
We may collect your name, email address, mobile number, and password. Authentication is handled through Firebase Authentication.
We may collect your region or nationality status, such as Saudi or non-Saudi, National ID or Iqama number, and approval or assignment status managed by authorized administrators. Providing nationality information is optional and is not required to use the app's core functionality.
You may optionally provide a profile photo, which is stored using our image hosting provider.
We collect information related to trip operations, including trip creation, start and end times, student boarding and arrival statuses, driver notes, and other related operational records.
GPS location may be collected and streamed while a trip is active. This may include geofence checks, such as confirming that a morning trip has ended near the school bus stand.
For assigned routes, drivers may access student information necessary to operate the trip, including student names, photos, and pickup and drop-off locations.
We may collect your device push notification token and notification preferences to send operational and service-related notifications.
We may collect language, locale, and similar application settings.
We may collect device and application identifiers necessary for authentication, messaging, security, and reliable operation of the application.
We use the information we collect to:
Verify and onboard approved drivers.
Operate assigned school-bus routes and daily trips.
Confirm student pickups and boarding activities.
Share live trip location with parents and schools during active trips.
Communicate important operational updates.
Improve safety and service reliability.
Meet school-transportation and applicable legal requirements.
Location data is collected only while a trip is active to support parent and school tracking and trip operations, including school bus-stand geofencing where applicable.
We do not use trip location data for unrelated advertising purposes.
We share necessary driver and trip information with:
The relevant school.
Parents or guardians of students on the trip.
Authorized Safrly administrators.
We also use service providers that process data on our behalf, including providers for authentication and databases, push notifications, maps, and image hosting.
We do not sell personal data.
We retain account, identity, and trip records for as long as necessary to operate the service and meet applicable school-transportation and legal requirements.
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You may:
Update your profile information within the app, subject to applicable administrator approval requirements.
Manage notification and language settings.
Request deletion of your account through the in-app Delete Account feature.
