The HALT Act directs the federal government to require all new cars come equipped with smart technology that passively, seamlessly and unobtrusively detects and stops impaired driving.
This is a game changer in the battle to prevent roadway deaths and injuries. We are working to change how cars are made so no one ever has to experience the trauma of losing a loved one or being injured by a drunk or impaired driver. Let your voice be heard! Tell the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration why this tech is important to you.

Youth Driven is a traffic safety and leadership program that is led the Rhode Island Student Assistance Services (RISAS) and supported by the Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT), Office On Highway Safety. Youth Driven is a year round RI high school program & it begins with an educational summer summit. Every high school that attends the summit creates an action plan for the upcoming school year, focused around traffic safety. The mission of Youth Driven is to provide Rhode Island youth and their adult advisors with the motivation, information, skills and support necessary to organize events and activities that support Traffic Safety efforts within their communities. Safety campaigns targeting distracted driving, impaired driving, and speeding, as well as, alcohol and drug free prevention strategies are examples of planned topic areas to be covered. Tori Lynn Andreozzi Foundation
On March 26, 2003, a hit-and-run drunk driver forever changed the lives of 12-year-old Tori Lynn Andreozzi and all those who love her. Although Tori was never the same little girl who left for school that morning, out of this devastating and totally preventable tragedy came her foundation. The Tori Lynn Andreozzi Foundation works to empower people to make good choices, protect other families from the devastating consequences of poor decision-making, and, for those whom it can’t protect, tries to make a difficult journey easier. Recognizing that there is a choice in every moment, finding the courage to make a difference, and sustaining hope for the future.
