Online Training Resource Tour

SafeMiners.com

The starting point for our tour and the hub of all the training resources I find and use. It is also a blog that updates regularly with the latest Mine Safety information. It's easily searchable to find blog posts, which includes all mining fatalities since January 2009. There are also pages for compliance, resources, and events. There's also a chat function with office hours posted when it is live.

Fatality Dashboard

Resources that MSHA used to provide to interpret fatality info.

  • Mine Fatality Index with basic info about each

  • Links to Fatal / Material / Classification

  • Fatals to Date Graph

  • Complete Fatalities PDF

Readers /RSS Feeds

Readers automatically capture blog entries so you can go to just one place to read and manage multiple blogs.

The MSHA Digital Library features historical and modern mining photographs, research materials, videos, and mine fatality reports for both Coal and Metal/Nonmetal dating back to the 1840s.

Mine Data Retrieval System

Citation, Accident, and General information for each Mine or Registered Contractor.
