Kiang Residence

Four new north Capitol Hill townhome-style residences listed for sale created a new connection between a client-to-be and an architect when the buyer missed out on the purchase of the last home listed for sale. The intended purchaser promptly connected with the architect purchased a nearby property and collaborated with the architect for a similar townhome-style design for their family. Thru collaboration, the resulting structure, similar in concept to the original four residences, blossomed into a new visual identity based on the client’s needs.

Connections, whether singular or multiple become important contributors to an architectural firms success. Architectural work becomes a “billboard” for the architectural firm as evidenced by this North Capitol Hill project. In many cases, this multi-year design and construction process creates connections that last years, giving new directions to the client and architect.
