I am currently a Junior researcher at the University of Bordeaux. I am member of Inria (Carmen team), Institut Mathématiques de Bordeaux (IMB) and IHU Liryc.
Previously, I was a postdoctoral researcher at Inria, Centre d'Université Côte d'Azur, affiliated with Epione team, Computational cardiology. I worked with I. Balelli and M. Sermesant within the SimCardioTest project on causal data analysis with application to cardiology.
I obtained my PhD in Applied Mathematics from Sorbonne Paris Nord University, Villetaneuse, France (Laboratoire Analyse Géométrie et Applications (LAGA), Équipe de Mathématiques pour la Biologie et les Images). My PhD thesis, supervised by H. Zaag and S. Li-Thiao-Té, focused on the mathematical modelling of inflammatory bowel diseases. By combining image analysis and mathematical modelling knowledge, it provided a deeper understanding of the mechanisms underlying the disease and highlighted the potential of mathematical models in medical research (see manuscript).
I hold two master's degrees in applied mathematics, one in image processing from the Lebanese University, Tripoli, Lebanon and one in Modeling of Biological Systems from Sorbonne University, Paris, France.
Research interests :
Applied mathematics for biology & medicine: partial differential equations, modeling, simulations,
Bio-medical data analysis: image processing, statistical data analysis, machine learning,
Causal learning: causal discovery.
