Saeedreza Jadidi

I am a researcher at Huawei Technologies Canada’s Smart Grid Technology Lab, with postdoctoral research experience at the University of Saskatchewan and a Ph.D. from Concordia University.

As a control engineer, I have extensive experience in academic research and industrial R&D for power and energy applications. My work focuses on developing advanced control, optimization, and diagnostic methods to improve the efficiency, resilience, and reliability of modern electrical networks.

My expertise includes model predictive control, optimal and fault-tolerant control, energy management, condition monitoring, fault diagnosis, prognostics, and predictive maintenance. I apply these methods to smart grids, microgrids, distributed energy resources, and inverter-based power systems through modelling, simulation, and hardware-in-the-loop validation.
