There are many countries in the world whose citizens grow up with the understanding that they have a responsibility to ensure the most basic opportunities in life for their country’s people. I am from one of those countries named Bangladesh, which has recently upgraded from a low-income country to a lower-middle-income country.
As a responsible citizen of my country, I have always been focused on devoting myself to the country's welfare to combat greater demand for food, climate change, and lack of scientific consciousness on food safety issues in my country.
Keeping that in mind, I went for a well-thought undergraduate study track in Fisheries, a multidisciplinary subject that combines both societal and scientific contexts of meeting food security and gaining economic benefits.
I've completed my Bachelor's and Master's studies at the University of Dhaka majoring in Fisheries and Aquaculture, respectively.
My academic interests focus on:
Bacterial genetics of food-borne pathogens
Bioinformatics
Antimicrobial resistance and One Health
