MISSION STATEMENT:

Key Issues and my Priorities

1. Strengthening Membership and Member Value:

Address declining student and professional membership through meaningful initiatives. Our free online Quantum Computing lecture series, featuring 23 lectures in September 2026, is one such effort. Similar series will cover other emerging technologies.

2. Improving Fund Transfer Awareness and Transparency:

Promote clear communication and knowledge-sharing on revised fund transfer procedures from GIEEE to the IEEE India Council, Sections, and Student Branches.

3. Strengthening Student Branches:

Support student branches in event planning, speaker engagement, funding, and leadership development through training and guidance on securing funds from IEEE and external sources.

4. Enhancing Regional and Global Representation:

Encourage greater participation of Indian volunteers in IEEE India Council, Region 10, and MGA initiatives, promoting capable volunteers for regional and global committees.

5. Making Conferences Author-Friendly and affordable:

Work towards reducing or eliminating author registration fees wherever feasible through sponsorships and sustainable funding models, ensuring greater accessibility for researchers, students, and early-career professionals.
