Empowering Vulnerable Children

EVC Uganda is a charity that works in Uganda to provide an education for pupils who otherwise would not receive one. Our PTFA and school have been supporting this charity. The PTFA make a contribution every year of £600 that supports the education of two primary aged pupils, Kateregga and Nabankema. 

The school regularly receive updates from the organisation about their work. More importantly, we regularly receive letters from Kateregga and Nabankema themselves telling us about their experience. Sacred Heart pupils write back to them. This is a great first hand experience for Sacred Heart pupils to see that we can show solidarity with those in other parts of the world who have less than us. It also helps them to see the value of their own education and opens their eyes on other ways of living.
