A Small Sample of the Bags I Make
Each style can be made larger or smaller or customized with fabrics to match your outfit including buttons, charms, keyrings, extra pockets, and bling!
Most of the fabric I use comes from designer deadstock and remnants that would have ended up in landfill if it weren't for the folks at FabMo, who gather up these materials and offer them at reasonable prices to designers like me. I'm rescuing the environment with every bag I make :)
The Steam Box Reticule - Sample Only
This box can be made as a 6x6, 7x7 or 8x8 inch cube. Each side of the box is quilted and adhered to a plastic mesh.
The Tall Petal Reticule
Stands about 9 inches tall by 5 inches square.
Easily hide a water bottle, average sized fan, and your phone. Fabric is opaque so smart phone light won't show through.
Square Bottom with Drawstring.
Stands about 8 inches tall by 6 inches square. Easily fits a smart phone. Can be made opaque so phone light doesn't show.
The Japanese Origami Reticule
Features a small outside pocket on front and back. Measures about 8 inches square. Fits small smart phone, keys, small wallet. Can be made larger.
Floral Bauble Reticule
Sold out of this fabric but have more in this style. Measures about 6 by 8 inches. Fits small smart phone, keys, small wallet. Can be made larger.
Strappy Handle
The bag closes by looping one tassel over a button. Looks small but actually measures 6 x 6 x 6 inches. Fits small smart phone, keys, small wallet. Can be made larger.
Boat Reticule
Inspired by a Regency design. Bottom is hard and is about 5 x 7 inches and about 8 inches tall. Easily accommodates average size smartphone, wallet, keys.
Goth Black and Red Silk Lantern Reticule
When full, it measures 9 x 9 x 9 inches and looks like a Japanese lantern. It holds quite a lot of stuff, too, like a wallet, phone and phone charger, watch charger, keys, and makeup kit.
Gold Silk and Floral Embroidered Reticule
Basic drawstring with fluttered top. Measures about 7 x 9 x 1 inches. Holds average smartphone, keys, wallet. Can be made larger.
This bag was commissioned by a client as part of an ensemble to wear to a Regency event.
The fabric is from a silk sari provided by the client.
The bag is lined in white cotton and features a reinforced plastic "cage" made from plastic mesh, covered in poly fill. It is finished with embroidered trim and crystal beads. The drawstring is poly silk cording. The bottom is covered in a sturdy upholstery fabric that is Scotch-guarded to prevent staining.
The bag measures about 7 inches around, with a 6.5. inch diameter interior. The bag stands about 8 inches tall when full and can hold a smartphone, keys, wallet, makeup kit and a water bottle. The bag is opaque and doesn't show when your phone lights up.
