Biography

Mr. Md. Sabir Hossain, or M.S. Hossain, currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET), Bangladesh. His academic journey began at CUET, where he not only completed his B.Sc., distinguishing himself as the highest CGPA holder in his cohort, but also continued to excel in the same department, earning his M.Sc. with outstanding results. Driven by an unwavering commitment to knowledge, Mr. Hossain is currently pursuing his Ph.D. at the esteemed King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, exploring research interests that span algorithmic complexity analysis, machine learning, recommendation system design, cyber security, big data, augmented reality, and software engineering.

With a remarkable scholarly record, Mr. Hossain has authored 35 articles published in international conferences and journals, showcasing his global recognition as an editorial board member and reviewer for various international journals. Notably, he serves as the editor of the Sigma Journal of Engineering and Natural Sciences, a SCOPUS and Web of Science (WOS) indexed publication officially supported by Yildiz Technical University, Turkey. Internationally recognized, Mr. Hossain has been appointed as an international advisory board member for the International Conference on Sustainable Computing and Management (SUSCOM-2021, 22) in India. He also holds the position of organizing secretary for the international co-located event of BIM-2021, titled "ML Idea Competition," and has been selected as the chair of the Publicity Committee for the Second International Conference on Forthcoming Networks and Sustainability in the AIoT Era (FoNeS-AIoT 2024), organized by Istanbul Topkapi University, Turkey.

Dedicated to fostering a research culture in Bangladesh, Mr. Hossain is the initiator and lead visionary of a research leveraging platform named "গবেষক হতে চাই :: Be Researcher BD (BRBD)." His efforts to engage undergraduate students in research have garnered national attention and have been featured in various media outlets. In addition to his research endeavors, Mr. Hossain actively contributes to education and mentorship. He conducted the country's first free online training on research methodology, titled ‘How to Become a Researcher?’, receiving over 80K views on YouTube. Furthermore, he has mentored significant free online courses, including ‘Python for Research (Multidisciplinary),’ 'MATLAB for Research,' and 'GIS for Research,' available on his YouTube channel. Mr. Hossain's dedication to promoting research and education has earned him recognition, with his story featured in a book titled ‘হার না মানা ১০০ তরুণের গল্প [Story of 100 young who never give up].’ His commitment to creating a research environment in Bangladesh and inspiring the next generation of researchers establishes him as a dynamic and influential figure in the field of computer science and engineering.
