Short version: Saapadu stores all your data locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. No account is required.

Saapadu does not collect any personal information. The app stores the following data entirely on your device:
Recipes you add or import (name, description, cuisine, diet type, health score)
Meal logs you create (recipe name, meal time, date — no location or identity)
App preferences (diet schedule, veg/non-veg settings, theme)
This data is saved to a local SQLite database and your device's shared preferences storage. It never leaves your device unless you explicitly back it up via Android's built-in backup service (see Section 5).
No name, email address, or any identity information
No location data
No device identifiers or advertising IDs
No usage analytics or crash reporting
No payment information
No camera or microphone access
Saapadu requests the INTERNET permission solely to open external recipe links in your browser when you tap "View recipe" on a library item. No data is sent from the app to any server. No network requests are made in the background.
Android may automatically back up your app data (recipes, meal logs, and settings) to your Google account via Google One Backup. This backup is encrypted by Google and is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. You can disable this in your Android settings under Google → Backup.
Saapadu does not integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics services, advertising networks, or social login providers. The app is entirely self-contained.
Saapadu does not knowingly collect any data from children under the age of 13. Since no personal data is collected from any user, the app is safe for all ages.
All data is stored on your device and remains under your control at all times. To delete your data, simply uninstall the app — this removes the local database and all associated preferences. If Google Backup is enabled, you can also clear backed-up data from your Google account settings.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with an updated date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
