Bandage Box
The bandage is a metaphor for scripture. This box speaks to the quiet care one might seek from a text, like one might seek from a box of adhesive bandages in quiet privacy.
We keep scripture in elaborate beautiful boxes, be they cathedrals, gurdwaras, temples, or libraries. Here I have slowly attended to a soft box for these holy bandages, one that will glitter and draw attention with bright red and shimmering white. But scripture fails me when I seek temporary comfort in platitudes so vague they remain relevant for millennia. These dopey adhesive bandages with a playful fuzzy blood stain fail their practicality too.
