"La cintura" (English: The Waist) is a song by Spanish-German singer-songwriter lvaro Soler. It was released on 29 March 2018, as the lead single from his second studio album, Mar de colores (2018). A "Latin Remix" featuring Flo Rida and TINI is included in the album as a bonus track. The song was written by Soler, Jakob Erixson, Nadir Khayat, Simon Triebel, and Ali Zuckowski, and produced by T.I. Jakke, RedOne, Zuckowski, and Rune Westberg, all of whom had previously worked on his number-one hit single "Sofia" (2016). The song became a European success, reaching the top 10 in Austria, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain, and Switzerland (number-one in Romandie, the French-speaking part of Switzerland).

The music video for "La cintura" was released on lvaro Soler's YouTube channel on 29 March 2018. Shot in Havana, Cuba, it features Soler and a group of people dancing around and having fun. As of May 2021, the video has over 187 million views.[1]

Weaving by telar de cintura is a pre-hispanic technique that has been passed on from generation to generation and it is traditionally women who master this technique (as opposed to telar de pedal, where generally men operate the machine). Young children learn this technique and, when they reach an older age, are able to help the community. Although it seems somehow simple, only a yard of this fabric can take up to a week to be finished!

Using this technique, artisans create a large piece of fabric, or faja as they refer to it, that is then transformed into many different products. The faja comes in many different sizes and widths, but what is most interesting about it is that it is a community work. Given that the work of telar de cintura is so difficult to achieve and one can get tired easily, the whole community shares the work. For this very same reason, no one can claim to have made a creation, as everyone in the community participated on it somehow, including those who have passed down the knowledge collectively. Lastly, we also learned from them that they do not teach the techniques behind telar de cintura to outsiders of their community, as it is considered a fault to their heritage.

The sequence of Cintura Desprezada is performed to the rhythm of the Ina game, which is a specific musical rhythm in Capoeira. The Ina rhythm sets the pace and energy for the practitioners, creating a dynamic and engaging atmosphere during the performance. Within the sequence, there are "Bales Acinturados" or partner throws, which showcase the participants' acrobatic skills and require coordination and trust between the practitioners.

Els estudis indiquen que una relaci entre cintura i maluc superior a 1.0 en homes ia 0,9 en dones est associada a un augment en la probabilitat de contraure diverses malalties (diabetis, malalties coronries, tensi arterial, entre altres).

Estas afecciones incluyen al menos 33 trastornos hereditarios diferentes (Existen 16 formas genticas conocidas). Estos trastornos inicialmente afectan a los msculos alrededor de la cintura escapular y las caderas. Estas enfermedades empeoran. Eventualmente, pueden comprometer otros msculos.
