Audition Information

Thanks for considering auditioning for 42nd Street! We can't wait to get this show on the road!

Auditions will be at the Boys & Girls Club of Souhegan Valley on February 8 from 6:30-8:30 and February 9 at 4:30-6:30.

Please come prepared! We ask that:

  • You have 16 bars or around one minute of a song prepared in the style of the show (please no Hamilton! :). We will have speakers for you to plug into if you have a karaoke track, or you can sing a capella, though we recommend having a backing track.
    • (please bring a lightning to headphone jack converter if you have an iPhone 7!)
  • You wear loose, comfortable clothing and come ready to learn a short dance routine! We will be doing a lot of tapping in this show but dance experience is not required. If you have tap shoes, please bring them.
  • We will be asking some actors for cold reads from the script. If you are not asked to read, that is not a reflection of you or your acting ability, it just means we have seen what we need to see from you and may have already found characteristics we're looking for.

If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask us! Email khammes@svbgc.org with any questions or concerns and we're happy to help.
