WHACK!

WHACK! is the third 30lb combat robot built by my team at UIUC. It features a unique elongated design which allows for devastating impacts from unconventional directions. It is powered buy a custom sensored cryogenically cooled outrunner which is able to output 6kw continuously. Its weapon can deliver impacts in excess of kj or approximately 10 x ak-47 rounds going off simultaneously. Extensive impact simulations were used to refine the frame to absorb the recoil of the weapon.
