The Direct Give Campaign (DGC) is the first option of the PTO's Donate Your Way at Rea View Fundraising Program, and is our easiest fundraiser where all the funds donated stay at Rea View. Click on the FAQs below to learn more about this simple fundraiser.

What is the Direct Give Campaign (DGC)?

The Direct Give Campaign (DGC) is the easiest and most straightforward fundraiser Rea View offers to help support the students and staff. It is a non-event, "not strings attached" fundraiser. There are no door-to-door sales, no events to attend, no prizes or gimmicks, and no high pressure tactics. As a HUGE bonus, parents directly give their donations to the PTO, so all funds raised during the campaign stay at Rea View.

All that is needed from the donor is to provide their donation at either at Rea View’s Open House in August or through the PTO Website through the end of September. To learn more about giving to the DGC, see the "How Do Rea View Families Give to the DGC?" section below.

Donating to the DGC is always optional. We invite families to give to the Donate Your Way at Rea View fundraisers, but the school and PTO do not expect or require donations. Moreover, families are certainly not expected to donate to both of the Donate Your Way at Rea View fundraising options. Maybe a Rea View family chooses to donate to just one of the two fundraisers, and then asks relatives, family friends, and employers/companies to participate in the other fundraiser. If a family is able to donate their contributions are undeniably appreciated, but if your family is unable to or chooses not to participate that is also unconditionally understood as well. We want families to "Donate Their Way" to Rea View’s fundraisers.

Has the DGC Been a Successful Fundraiser for Rea View?

The purpose of the DGC is not to be Rea View's biggest fundraiser or to bring in the most donations. The DGC was created for families who want to donate to Rea View, but do not want to financially participate in the Run with Rocky fundraiser and/or want to ensure all of their contribution stays at Rea View. Therefore, for those families, the Direct Give Campaign does exactly what it is intended to do. In addition, the DGC provides the school and the PTO with some much needed funds to use at the beginning of the school year, instead of having to wait for the end of Run with Rocky in November, to purchase anything students or staff might need. So, yes, the Direct Give Campaign is successful because it achieves these two important goals.
