Submit Official Request
Email Dr. MA Saghiri at Mohammadali.saghiri@rutgers.edu with your CV, statement of interest, and any relevant publications or research work. Please include a detailed explanation for your interest, research goals, and how your expertise can contribute to the lab's mission.
*Accepted applicants will receive an NDA and a work agreement (non-paid position) within 15 business days.*
Review and Sign Agreements
After accepting reading and accepting the terms: sign, scan, and email them back to Dr. MA Saghiri.
Research Guidelines
Within 10 days of receiving the signed agreements, the volunteer will be integrated into the lab's research activities. A detailed research strategy and integration plan will be provided, outlining the specific projects they will be involved in and the expected contributions.
Weekly lab attendance
Members are responsible for attending at least 4 hours weekly with a preferred in-person attendance. Remote participation can be arranged depending on the member's location and research requirements. Scheduling can be coordinated with Ms. Devyani Nath (Lab Manager).
Monthly Reports
Members are responsible for submitting monthly progress reports detailing their research activities, progress, and contributions. These reports must adhere to the Rutgers University style which can be found at the RU style guidelines; failure to submit reports for 2 consecutive months or a total of 3 missed reports will result in removal from the research program.

Oral Presentation Requirements
Members are expected to present their research findings at the BRL lab meetings on Fridays. These presentations are an opportunity to share progress, receive feedback, and contribute to the collaborative environment of the lab.
Dr. MA Saghiri will only provide recommendation letters to members that publish at least one article in a peer-reviewed journal based on their research conducted during their time at the AFSAR Biomaterials Research Lab. The quality of the publication and overall research performance will determine the strenght of the recommendation.
