Privacy Policy for Next QR SCAN

Next Apps (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides the Next QR SCAN mobile application (“App”). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, why it is handled, where it is stored, and the choices available to you.
1. Information handled by the App
Camera and images
When you scan a QR code or barcode, camera frames are processed on your device. Camera frames are not saved by the App or uploaded to us. Images selected from your gallery are decoded on your device and are not copied into permanent storage. An image shared to the App may be copied temporarily to private cache for decoding and is deleted on a best-effort basis after processing.
Scan results and generated content
Decoded values may be saved in the App’s private local database when Save scan history is enabled. Private Scan prevents new history records. OTP secrets are not saved in standard history. Wi-Fi passwords are hidden by default but may be stored locally when normal history is enabled. Generated codes, batch records, inventory counts, favorites, and preferences remain on your device. The App does not require an account and does not upload this content to a Next Apps server.
Device and advertising data
The App may display ads outside the camera screen. All versions use Yandex Mobile Ads only. The App does not use precise location or an IP-based location lookup to select an advertising provider.
Yandex Mobile Ads may process advertising or device identifiers, IP address, device and app information, diagnostics, ad impressions, interactions, and measurement data. Next QR SCAN does not send decoded QR or barcode contents to Yandex. Yandex processes data under its own privacy policy: https://yandex.com/legal/confidential/en/
2. How information is used
Information is handled only as needed to scan, classify, display, and act on codes; save optional local history and records; generate codes; create user-requested exports; save preferences; provide advertising where configured; and maintain the security and reliability of the App. We do not sell scanned content or use it for profiling. Version 1.0.0 does not operate its own analytics service.
3. Sharing and external actions
Scanned or generated content leaves the App only when you choose an external action, such as opening a link, searching the web, sharing content, or exporting a file. The receiving app, website, or service applies its own privacy policy. Advertising-related data may be sent directly to Yandex as described above.
4. Permissions
Camera: used for live QR and barcode scanning. You can instead scan an image without granting camera access.
Internet and network access: used to load advertising where configured and complete external web actions you choose.
Photo or file picker: used to select images and export files through system pickers. The App does not request broad storage access.
The App does not request microphone, precise location, contacts, calendar, or broad file-storage permission.
5. Storage, retention, and deletion
Saved App data remains on your device until you delete it, clear App data, uninstall the App, or an enabled retention period removes it. You can clear scan history in Settings. Temporary shared-image and export files are deleted on a best-effort basis after use. Operating-system backups are controlled by your platform provider. Yandex determines retention for data it receives.
6. Your choices and rights
You can deny or revoke camera access, disable scan history, use Private Scan, clear local history, choose a retention period, manage your advertising identifier and personalization in device settings, and avoid external Open, Search, Share, or Export actions. Because most content remains only on your device, we generally cannot access or recover it.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical measures designed to keep App information in private on-device storage and avoid logging scan payloads. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
8. Children’s privacy
Next QR SCAN is a general-purpose utility and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect children’s scanned content on our servers. Advertising providers may apply their own age-related requirements and controls.
9. International processing
Advertising providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live, subject to their policies and applicable safeguards.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the App, its data practices, or legal requirements change. The updated version will display a new date.
