Rustin Partow

4th Year PhD Student, Economics, UCLA

I am training to be a labor economist focused on dynamic interactions between workers and employers. I am currently using a large-scale natural experiment in the US federal government to determine the causal relationship between pay and job separations. I am also studying hierarchy and sorting in US law firms during the postwar period.

I grew up in the great city of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Before coming to UCLA, I went to college in DC and spent two subsequent years there working in economic consulting. I also spent a year at UT Austin doing an MA in economics.
