My faith journey has been deeply rooted in the Catholic community of Lawrence County. As a lifelong member of the Church, I was formerly part of Saints Philip & James and Saint Vincent de Paul, the predecessor parishes of what is now Holy Spirit Parish of Lawrence County. These faith communities shaped my spiritual foundation and continue to inspire my active service in parish life.
Over the years, I have been honored to serve in a variety of roles, including lector, extraordinary minister of Holy Communion, CCD catechist, Youth Group catechist, and team member of the former Theology on Tap program, which offered young adults opportunities for faith formation and fellowship in an informal setting.
Today, I remain engaged in the parish’s vibrant community outreach efforts, including the annual parish picnic, Easterfest, Christmasfest, and assisting with the preparation of traditional foods like pierogi and pie slabs. These events celebrate our Catholic identity and build lasting bonds among parishioners and the broader community.
My continued involvement reflects a deep commitment to living the faith through service, fellowship, and the enduring traditions of our Catholic heritage.
As a committed member of Most Precious Blood of Jesus Parish, I am blessed to participate in the rich spiritual life of a community devoted to the reverent celebration of the Traditional Latin Mass, also known as the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite. The parish is joyfully served by the priests of the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest (ICKSP), whose mission is to preserve and promote the beauty and solemnity of the Church’s liturgical and sacramental tradition.
At Most Precious Blood of Jesus Parish, the Mass and Sacraments are celebrated daily in Latin, with Gregorian chant, traditional vestments, and time-honored rituals that elevate the soul and honor the sacred. This liturgical life fosters a deep reverence for the Eucharist and a profound sense of continuity with the Church’s heritage.
My involvement in this parish has deepened my appreciation for the sacred mysteries and provided a spiritual home rooted in beauty, tradition, and orthodoxy. Through this community, I am continually nourished in faith and inspired to live out the Church’s timeless call to holiness.
