This Privacy Policy outlines how the "Rush Team Tactical Utility & Recoil Control" browser extension handles user information. We are committed to complete privacy and transparency. Our extension is engineered from the ground up to operate 100% locally on your computer with zero remote telemetry, tracking, or data collection.
2. WHAT DATA DO WE COLLECT?
WE DO NOT COLLECT, TRANSMIT, OR SELL ANY PERSONAL DATA.
Specifically:
• No Personally Identifiable Information (PII) is accessed or gathered.
• No game credentials, account passwords, or usernames are intercepted or read.
• No browsing history or activity outside of the specified Rush Team game URLs is tracked.
• No IP addresses, device identifiers, or analytical metrics are sent to remote servers.
3. PERMISSIONS BREAKDOWN & WHY THEY ARE USED
To function reliably, the extension requests a minimal set of permissions:
A. "storage" Permission
• Purpose: Saves your selected recoil compensation strength (e.g. 1.80x), active weapon preset (Light, Medium, Heavy, Sniper), and ON/OFF toggle state.
• Where data lives: Stored exclusively on your local machine using the Chrome Storage API (`chrome.storage.local`). It never leaves your browser.
B. Host Match: "https://www.gaming-style.com/*"
• Purpose: Enables the content script to execute only on Rush Team game pages (specifically the WebGL and legacy game containers on gaming-style.com).
• What it does: Mounts the interactive tactical HUD overlay, detects mouse button events during gameplay to apply recoil compensation, and unhides the WebGL container.
4. ARE ALL THESE PERMISSIONS DEFINITELY NEEDED?
YES, AND ONLY THESE TWO.
The extension strictly adheres to the Chrome Web Store's Principle of Least Privilege:
• Why we DO NOT request broad permissions: We deliberately avoid asking for "<all_urls>", "tabs", "cookies", "webRequest", or "identity". The extension cannot see or interact with any website other than the official Rush Team domain on gaming-style.com.
• Can we remove "storage"? Without "storage", your weapon presets and recoil slider adjustments would be reset every time you reload the game or close your browser tab.
• Can we remove the host permission? Without the host permission, the extension would not have access to inject the tactical menu or communicate with the Unity WebGL canvas.
Therefore, every requested permission is indispensable for the extension's core features, and no excessive or unnecessary permissions are included.
5. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES & EXTERNAL LINKS
The in-game tactical overlay and popup contain optional outbound links (e.g., to the community Discord or developer homepage). Clicking these links navigates you to external websites governed by their own independent privacy policies. The extension itself does not transmit any tracking tokens or referral parameters with these requests.
6. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
Any future modifications to this policy will be documented in version updates accompanying the extension release on the Chrome Web Store.
