Math Tutoring

Hi, I'm Shannon Rush!

I have 25 years of experience teaching and tutoring math and I love helping students reach that "Aha!" moment that gets them unstuck and moving toward success.

Read below to learn more or send me a note via the Contact Form to talk about how I can help you or your student(s)!

2) Whether you prefer an individual or small group setting. Groups can be formed by clients or by me.

3) Your preferred day, time and location (virtual or in-person).

4) Your preferred contact method.

Testimonials:

Multiple-Student Sessions:

A mathematical community can be a vital resource when developing mathematical reasoning. Groups may be proposed by clients or by me. In many cases, students should be working on the same content, but that does not have to be the case. Reach out to me to discuss options.

Billing:

I will bill each family every two weeks, on or near the 1st and the 15th, for the previous sessions. The parent(s) will receive an invoice by email and can provide payment through Venmo, PayPal, check, or cash.

Cancellation Policy:

It is best if we keep our schedules as they impact many people. I will do my best not to reschedule and ask you to do the same. Life happens though, so I do not charge for cancelations or rescheduling with at least 12 hours of notice. Though it is helpful to provide as much warning as possible. I will charge for no-shows and late cancelations at 50% my rate.

Logistics

Scheduling

Please reach out to me through the contact form or email button at the bottom of the page to find an opening that works for your schedule.

Location

My preference is to meet over Zoom. If meeting in person is better for an individual or group, we will arrange a public location in the Beaverton / SW Portland / Tigard area that is conducive for tutoring at the scheduled time.

Documentation

I keep notes on each session and will provide them via Google Docs or email to the student and the parent(s). These notes will include:

Students and parents are encouraged to add notes or questions along with me.
