Current projects PRIOR to development increasing policy changes
LOOKING BACK: On December 15, 2015, the EDC Supervisors approved the TGPA/ZOU, increasing development with blatant disregard for project impacts. New policies put our groundwater supplies at risk, rezoned 37K parcels, and expanded commercial & industrial uses in residential neighborhoods. Legal action yielded minor gains but greater education of the process.

SAVING OAKS AND HABITAT CORRIDORS: On October 24, 2017, County Supervisors approved General Plan policy changes detrimental to oak woodlands and the wildlife that depends upon it. The resulting lawsuit was settled in January 2023, in support of increased land acquisition in the critical Highway 50 corridor.
