RupeeTrack ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the RupeeTrack mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
a) Google Account Information
When you sign in using Google, we collect:
• Your email address
• Your display name
• Your profile picture (if available)
• A unique account identifier
This information is used only to sign you in, back up your data, and show your name in the app.
b) Financial Data (information you enter)
RupeeTrack stores:
• Transactions you enter (money spent and money received)
• Categories and sources
• Borrow/Lend records
• Budget settings
• Your theme and currency preferences
If you are signed in, this data is securely stored in Google Firebase Firestore under your account, so it can be restored when you sign in again or on another phone.
If you use Guest Mode, your data is stored only on your device.
c) Crash Reports
RupeeTrack uses Google Firebase Crashlytics to find and fix bugs. When the app crashes or has an error, Crashlytics collects:
• Crash logs and technical diagnostics (for example, device model and Android version)
• An installation identifier
Crash reports never include your transactions, amounts, notes, or account details.
d) Reminders
Daily and weekly reminders are scheduled on your device. No data is sent anywhere for reminders.
e) Advertisements and In-App Purchases
RupeeTrack is free. Version 2.0 and later shows no ads, does not use your advertising ID, and has no in-app purchases.
Older versions (1.1 and earlier) used Google AdMob to show ads, which could collect device identifiers and the advertising ID under Google's Privacy Policy, and offered a "Remove Ads" purchase through Google Play Billing. We never stored your payment information.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
• Provide app functionality
• Back up your data and restore it when you sign in
• Find and fix crashes and bugs
• Improve the app
We do NOT sell or rent your personal information.
3. Data Security
Your data is:
• Encrypted in transit (HTTPS)
• Stored securely in Google Firebase infrastructure
• Isolated per user account (only you can access your data)
We take reasonable measures to protect your data.
4. Data Sharing
We do not share your personal or financial data with third parties.
Third-party services used:
• Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore database, Crashlytics crash reporting)
• Google Play (app distribution and in-app review prompts)
If you choose to export your transactions as a CSV file, the file goes only to the app you pick (for example, Gmail or Google Drive).
5. No Access to Bank Accounts or Financial Institutions
RupeeTrack does not connect to, access, or retrieve data from any bank accounts, credit cards, financial institutions, or payment services.
All financial information displayed in the app is manually entered by the user for personal expense tracking purposes.
The app does not collect or access:
• Bank account numbers
• Credit or debit card numbers
• Net banking credentials
• UPI IDs or payment app data
• Transaction history from banks
• Financial institution login details
RupeeTrack functions purely as a manual expense tracking tool and does not integrate with any banking APIs or financial service providers.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Your data remains stored in Firebase while you have an account.
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time in the app: Menu → Settings → Delete account. This permanently deletes your cloud data and the data on that phone.

Guest Mode data is stored only on your phone and is deleted when you log out or uninstall the app.
7. Children's Privacy
RupeeTrack is not directed at children under 13.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. Updates will be reflected with a revised date.
