RunMate respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the RunMate mobile application collects, uses, stores, and protects personal and sensitive information when you use its account and running features.
• Account information, including your name, email address, and account identifier.
• Optional profile information that you provide, such as gender, age, height, weight, and profile photo.
• Precise location information when you choose to start recording a run.
• Fitness and activity information, including route, distance, duration, pace, calories, and run history.
• Limited technical information processed by our service providers, such as device and network information needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.
We use this information to:
• Authenticate and manage your account.
• Record, save, and display your runs.
• Display routes on a map and calculate fitness metrics.
• Sync your profile and run history across your devices.
• Maintain the security, reliability, and functionality of RunMate.
RunMate requests location permission only to provide route recording and map functionality. Location collection starts when you choose to record a run. You can withdraw location permission at any time in your device settings; route-recording features will then be unavailable.
RunMate uses Firebase for authentication, cloud data storage, and profile image storage, and Mapbox for map display. These providers process data only as needed to provide their services to RunMate.
We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising.
We retain account and activity information while your account remains active, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data through the support contact listed on the RunMate Google Play store listing. Do not include passwords or other sensitive information in a public support request.
You can update profile information in the app and control location and photo permissions through your device settings. Declining these permissions may prevent related features from working.
RunMate is not directed to children under the age selected in its Google Play target audience declaration. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children outside that declared audience.
We may update this Privacy Policy when our practices or legal obligations change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
For privacy questions or account deletion requests, contact us through the support contact listed on the RunMate Google Play store listing.
