We used a combination of several different software packages for the Rumbletalk Party including a WIX Database and Jotform. We used the Rumbletalk "Keyword' feature frequently. Keywords are any words or phrases that have a LINK associated with them (they are predefined by the Administrator). When a Moderator types a keyword in the chat box it appears in RED. Anyone in the chat group can click on the Keyword and they will be taken to the location (web address URL) that was predefined. We usually take the user to a Jotform Form where they enter their name. The form also indicates the prize they are winning. The Jotform is set up to allow only ONE entry so the first person there is the winner. We do the same type of thing with the WIX database.
One Moderator is the score keeper who keeps track of all of the different winners. The other two Moderators type questions and keep the discussion going - QUITE FAST. Participants can upload files from their computer/phone to the chat, snap a picture of themselves and shoot a video with their device's camera (if available). We give away prizes for pictures and videos.
Chat participants can also have private chats with other individuals but we found that happens infrequently.
We found the secret to keeping the chat group engaged is to mix up the questions so they really don't know what is coming next, providing sufficient prizes and keeping the chat conversation moving.
Both the Zoom Party and the Rumbletalk Party lasted about one hour.
