Rules of

In almost every TV show out there is at least one relationship the viewers root for. Be it the main characters or even lovable secondary characters. The situation gets a little bit more complicated if the main characters have a military or law enforcement background, as most of the time there are strict non-fraternization rules in place.

Some shows have found creative ways to deal with those situations and some are plainly ignoring them or have their characters ignore them.

Others never bring those rules up until the couple, fans have been rooting for, finally takes the plunge just to not be able to really be together because said rule magically appears.

It probably was there all along, and it is reasonable to assume so it just feels odd to only bring it up when both protagonists are ready to be together.

We want to take a closer look at some of our favorite shows and see how it was handled there.
