RUHIN CHOWDHURY

RUHIN CHOWDHURY is currently a PhD. student in the Dept. of Physics and Astronomy (PandA), The University of New Mexico (UNM) as well as working as a Research Assistant (RA) in the Center for High Technology Materials (CHTM) under Dr. Francesca Cavallo's supervision. She was previously a Teacher Assistant (TA) conducting undergraduate physics lab classes in UNM. She was posted as a Lecturer in the Dept. of Electrical & Electronic Engineering at Northern University of Bangladesh in the early 2021. She completed her BSc in Electrical Electronic & Communication Engineering from Military Institute of Science & Technology, Dhaka, Bangladesh in January, 2018. Her undergraduate thesis is based on 5TH GENERATION CELLULAR NETWORK. Her thesis topic was 'Full Duplex Uplink Communication Exploiting Distributed Antenna System For 5G Communication.' She worked with the Design and performance analysis of novel Circular Polarization Division Multiplexed (CPDM) Fiber Optic Communication (FOC) and Free Space Optical (FSO) system. She also worked with hybrid PDM-WDM system on Free-Space Optical Communications (FSO) system. Currently she is working with Supercontinuum Generation dual core Photonic Crystal Fiber (PCF), and Surface plasmon resonance (SPR) based PCF Biosensor. Her research interests include Optical Science, Plasmonics, Nanophotonics, Optical System Design, Biomedical Optics, Optical Imaging, Quantum Optics, etc. Her research articles and papers are published in reputed scopus-indexed journals and in IEEE conference proceedings. She is also a blue belt in Taekwondo and loves to travel.
