I ate tacos and sushi and spam musubi.
At one point in the summer, I went to the Museum of Making in Derby. The main reason I was going was because they were running a SEN event. When we (my family) got there, we grabbed a map and a fidget for my sibling. There were 4 floors in the place. The ground floor held the cafe and a small quiet space. We weren’t there for long in the beginning. Level 1 held The Gateway which had a lot of things made in Derby (who would’ve guessed?). One thing that stood out to my parents was some old batteries which were much bigger than the current ones. My sibling ended up playing with the Lego for a good ten minutes before heading to the second floor. This showed the materials used to create different things as well as what could be made from them. Not long was spent here as my sibling felt intimidated by it all. The third floor was the one that went down the worst. There was a maker’s shop which was pretty nice but the issue was their ‘Earth-Bound’ exhibit. Not only was there these hyenas that unnerved all of us, but there was also pictures of bacteria that gave me the creeps. Safe to say we left that one quickly. All of us headed to the gift shop, getting my sibling a slinky and me failing to find a woven badge (which I like collecting). We then spent 20 minutes in the quiet space, chatting to the person there about interests and feedback on the day. The main suggestion I gave was to add trigger warnings to the entrance in order to help others in case some things might be uncomfortable for them.
This summer i was able to go on a small trip with my boyfriend to see the pony swim. For those who don't know what that is, pretty much theres 2 islands near me that are known for the wild ponies. They ponies swim from one island to the other, it's not a long swim at all but it's very cool to watch. My boyfriend, his family, and I went to watch it. It was cool though I was to short to see to much- We stayed in a hotel and watched Big City Greens all night which was rather funny. We fucked around in Micheals and Walmart too which was fun. Over the summer I spent a lot of time with my boyfriend since I have a car now which has been a blast. I love that man. I also got a Macbook for college from my amazing Uncle. My summer was lowkey kinda boring so these were the highlights LOL.
this summer I went to see hamilton!! it was the touring angelica cast and it was sooo cool :) i love musicals so much and so this was like the best day ever!!
This summer I went to a beach with my family! We spent the morning relaxing on the beach and eating ice cream before going into some shops in the afternoon. I bought a book I had been looking for, some CDs, and three posters for my room. I haven't been to the beach much this summer so this was fun!
i didn't do a whole lot this summer, but i was able to see my friends a few times and we went to dave and busters once and the mall a couple times, i went to my friends graduation, my sister's boyfriend came to visit and we all went to a friends 4th of july party that was a lot of fun, i got some new tshirts and a new book that i really like so far, and ive now moved into my on-campus apartment for this year, classes start on monday and im really looking forward to having a good year !
Over the summer I went to Mexico to visit family, but on the bus ride over we lost air conditioning 3 times. This ment we spent a fair bit of time having a picnic in Texas overlooking a beautiful road as the bus drivers went around different shops to try to find the pice they needed to fix the bus. This was overall a 7/10 experience. (Not the bus drivers fault though)
