NK Theatre Trip

GCSE Drama Learners had a great time when they went to see two widely acclaimed plays, ‘Shakers’ and ‘Bouncers’, at the NK Theatre in Romiley. The actors and actresses are called upon to play a large number of different characters, they have to be amusing, sensitive and real, whilst using no extra props and relying on their physical skills, and mime. Our learners were lucky enough to have a workshop with director Pete Curran and the cast after the performances to find out more about their creation of their characters. The learners made the most of this invaluable experience, soaking up all the information they could. The benefits of this workshop are already being seen in the quality of work the learners are now producing
