Tashane Haynes-Brown, Ph.D., is a Lecturer in Teacher Education and Teacher Development at the School of Education, the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus in Jamaica. She has graduate degrees with specialized study in Teacher Education and Teacher Development as well as a degree in Spanish Education. She has been an educator for over 23 years serving at the primary, secondary and tertiary levels. She is involved in a range of professional development endeavors working with lecturers and classroom teachers locally, regionally and internationally focused on professional learning in pedagogy, technology integration and research methodology. She has a growing record of consulting experience facilitating training in online teaching for educators working in higher education institutions across the Caribbean and African regions. She also served as a consultant guiding the development of a national open distance learning policy for facilitating the PD for pre-service and in-service teachers in Jamaica. She has served as the Coordinator of Undergraduate Programmes and Coordinator for the Masters in Teacher Education (online) Programme in the School of Education. She was a Visiting Scholar at the Michigan Mixed Methods Research and Scholarship Programme and is a past president of the Mixed Methods International Research Association – Caribbean Chapter (MMIRACC).
