Smijesh joined RRI as an Associate Professor in June 2024. His research interests are in the field of intense light-matter interaction, specifically, in High Harmonic Generation and Attosecond Science. He is also affiliated with the Australian Attosecond Science Facility (AASF) located at the Centre for Quantum Dynamics (CQD), Griffith University, Brisbane, Australia.
