Since 1994, the River Region Drama Guild (RRDG) has proudly served the River Parishes by bringing the excitement, inspiration, and creativity of live theatre to our community. Through exceptional performances, educational programs, and meaningful community partnerships, we strive to enrich lives while inspiring the next generation of performers, artists, technicians, and theatre enthusiasts.

Our Mission

The River Region Drama Guild is dedicated to making the performing arts accessible to everyone. We provide opportunities for individuals of all ages to learn, create, perform, and grow through high-quality theatrical productions, educational workshops, and youth programming that strengthen our community and celebrate the arts.

What We Do

Main Stage Productions

Experience Broadway-quality plays and musicals featuring talented local performers and volunteers from throughout the River Parishes.

Youth Programs

Our Young Actors Workshop and theatre education programs inspire confidence, creativity, teamwork, and leadership while introducing young performers to the magic of the stage.

Arts Education

From acting and vocal performance to stagecraft, lighting, sound, and set construction, we provide hands-on learning experiences for aspiring artists of every age.

Community Outreach

We proudly partner with schools, civic organizations, and local events to make the performing arts an important part of community life.

A Community That Rebuilt

In 2021, Hurricane Ida devastated our home, destroying the facility we had worked so hard to build. While we lost our building, we never lost our passion.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our volunteers, donors, sponsors, and community supporters, we rebuilt stronger than ever.

Today, the River Region Performing Arts & Cultural Center stands as a symbol of resilience, hope, and the enduring power of the arts.

Although we've come a long way, our work continues. We are still raising funds to replace equipment, expand educational opportunities, improve our facilities, and ensure that every child and family has access to affordable, high-quality performing arts experiences.
