If you want a dedicated swimming machine with massive onboard storage and true submersion protection, choose RR SPORTS IP68; if you need advanced call clarity with AI assistance and a compact charging case for daily commuting, choose Chewtoyo Open Ear Headphones.
• RR SPORTS IP68: Its superpower is the built-in 32GB MP3 player and full IP68 waterproofing that allows for actual underwater use, but it lacks active noise cancellation and requires Bluetooth 6.0 only when out of water.
• Chewtoyo Open Ear Headphones: It excels with Smart AI Voice integration, a portable charging case for extended power, and modern touch controls, though its battery life per charge is shorter and it isn't rated for deep submersion.
• Best for: The RR SPORTS IP68 is the definitive choice for swimmers and marathon runners who refuse to carry phones; the Chewtoyo is better for professionals seeking transparency mode head phones for meetings and office environments.
The RR SPORTS IP68 is engineered for one specific type of athlete: someone who wants to disconnect from their phone completely while staying connected to their music. The standout feature here is the dual-mode capability. You aren't just getting wireless audio; you are getting a standalone MP3 player with 32GB of internal memory. This means you can store up to 7,000 songs directly on the device in formats like MP3, WMA, WAV, and FLAC. For a swimmer or a cyclist who hates fumbling with a phone in a pocket or armband, this is a game-changer. You simply pair the headphones via Bluetooth for land-based activities, or switch to the internal mode to play your playlist without any smartphone dependency.
Water resistance is not just a marketing buzzword on this model; it is the core design philosophy. With an IP68 rating, these headphones are built to withstand submersion in up to two meters of water. The manufacturer has applied a nano-hydrophobic coating and meticulously sealed the internal components to protect against sweat, rain, and pool chlorine. This makes them genuinely suitable for swimming marathons, intense showers, or heavy rainstorms where standard earbuds would fail. If you are looking for the best ipx7 waterproof earbuds for meetings that double as swim gear, this is the hardware that bridges that gap, provided you remember that Bluetooth does not function underwater.

However, this specialization comes with trade-offs. Because the focus is entirely on durability and independent playback, the battery life is capped at around seven hours on a single charge, which is solid but not industry-leading for all-day wear. Furthermore, the sound delivery relies on bone conduction technology, which transmits audio through the cheekbones rather than into the ear canal. While this keeps your ears open to ambient noise—a crucial safety feature for outdoor running—it inherently limits bass response compared to traditional drivers. It is also worth noting that the warranty covers one year, which is standard, but the lack of a carrying case means you have to be careful with how you pack them in your gym bag. This product is for the dedicated athlete who prioritizes freedom of movement and total water immunity over premium studio-grade sound quality.
The Chewtoyo Open Ear Headphones target a different demographic: the active professional who needs to stay aware of their surroundings while managing calls and podcasts throughout a busy day. The defining characteristic here is the inclusion of Smart AI Voice capabilities combined with a sleek, modern design. Unlike the standalone nature of the RR SPORTS, the Chewtoyo integrates deeply with your smartphone ecosystem. It features Wireless 5.4 connectivity, which offers a reliable signal range of up to 15 meters, ensuring that your connection stays stable whether you are walking down the street or moving between rooms in a large office. The inclusion of a charging case is a significant practical advantage; while the buds themselves offer 4 to 6 hours of listening time, the 500 mAh case provides extra charges on the go, effectively extending your usage window significantly without needing to find a wall outlet.
Comfort and situational awareness are paramount in this design. The earbuds utilize a double-layer zero-degree silicone earhook paired with a flexible titanium alloy filament. This construction ensures a secure fit that won't slip during vigorous activity, yet remains lightweight enough for all-day wear. The open-ear architecture allows you to hear traffic, colleagues, and doorbells while enjoying HiFi sound. This makes them an excellent candidate for those searching for transparency mode head phones for meetings, as they allow you to toggle between your audio and your environment seamlessly. The touch screen control adds a layer of modern convenience, letting you manage volume, tracks, and calls with simple gestures, and the device handles sweat and splashes with ease thanks to its waterproof rating, making it suitable for rainy commutes or sweaty gym sessions.
The limitations here revolve around endurance and extreme conditions. While the charging case extends total usage, the buds themselves only last 4 to 6 hours on a single charge, meaning you will need to recharge them mid-day if you are working a long shift. Additionally, the waterproofing is designed for sweat and rain, not for submersion; you cannot take these into a pool. There is also no mention of active noise cancellation in the sense of blocking out the world; rather, it offers a passive open-ear experience. The warranty description indicates "No Warranty," which is a notable risk factor compared to the one-year coverage of the competitor. This product is ideal for the commuter, the runner who carries a phone, and the remote worker who values call clarity and portability over raw storage capacity.

• Best for long continuous wear → RR SPORTS IP68 (7-hour battery life per charge vs. 4-6 hours).
• Best for safety during outdoor runs → Both (Both use open-ear designs, but RR SPORTS emphasizes bone conduction specifically for hearing danger).
• Best for value-conscious buyers → Chewtoyo Open Ear Headphones (Offers more features like a case and AI voice for a likely lower price point, though you must check current pricing).
After weighing the specifications and real-world applications, I would buy the Chewtoyo Open Ear Headphones for my daily life, especially for use for meetings and general productivity. The combination of a charging case, Bluetooth 5.4 stability, and Smart AI Voice support makes it far more versatile for a hybrid lifestyle where you move between the office, the commute, and the gym. While the RR SPORTS IP68 is an incredible piece of engineering for swimmers, its lack of a case and inability to handle deep submersion for non-swimming activities limits its utility for the average buyer. However, if your primary goal is training in the pool without a phone, the RR SPORTS is the undisputed champion in that niche. Ultimately, the Chewtoyo offers the flexibility needed for a modern, multi-faceted schedule.
Yes, both models support calls, but the Chewtoyo is superior for this purpose due to its Smart AI Voice integration and Bluetooth 5.4 stability, which helps maintain clear connections in noisy environments. The RR SPORTS focuses more on music playback and uses bone conduction, which is great for safety but less optimized for complex call scenarios.
No, the Chewtoyo headphones are waterproof against sweat and rain but are not rated for submersion. You should only use the RR SPORTS IP68 if you plan to take them into a pool or shower, as it is rated for depths up to 2 meters.
The RR SPORTS IP68 offers a longer single-charge runtime of up to 7 hours, whereas the Chewtoyo buds provide 4 to 6 hours. However, the Chewtoyo includes a charging case that extends total usage time across multiple days without plugging in.
Not necessarily with the RR SPORTS IP68, as it has 32GB of internal memory to store thousands of songs independently. With the Chewtoyo, you will need to keep your phone nearby to stream music or access the AI features, as it lacks internal storage.
