In order to run the Greg Olsen Local History Room smoothly, we have the following rules to be followed. Please read them prior to your visit.
(They will also be posted in the room itself)
Sign in & Out - Visitors must sign in & out when visiting the room
No Food or Drink - our Materials, can NOT be replaced.
Indoor voices - This is a library after all. Shouting and horseplay will NOT be tolerated.
NOTHING leaves the room. You may take photos/videos of the materials with your phone. We can also provide copies, for a small fee. See room Archivist for HELP. We do NOT lend out books from the archive room.
Respect the Archives. The Golden Rule is #1. Treat others (including property), the way you would like to be treated.
Microfilm Machine - Please ask the archivist prior to using.
Do Not Touch - If something in the room has a DO NOT TOUCH sign on it. Please do NOT touch. A lot of "OLD" items are fragile and irreplaceable.
All Are Welcome - HOWEVER, those 19 and under will need an adult (21+) with them at all time.
Questions always have answers. If you need any help during your visit, please ask the archivist for HELP. She is always glad to lend a hand. ESPECIALLY with the microfilm machine.
