GET TO KNOW THE AMBASSADOR

Q*When did you first discover disc golf and when did you know you absolutely loved it?

-2007. Loved it the moment I threw the first golf disc. I played Ultimate for 16 years and was ready to try something new. Disc Golf = throwing discs without stop & go or sprinting.

Q*What are some goals of yours for the 2019 season?

-Play masters worlds in Smugglers Notch Vermont, USA.

Get my rating up to 980

Win at least one NZDG tour event.

Q*What’s your favourite RPM Disc in your bag right now and why?

-I have a stable Kahu XG that works really well for me.

Then my Magma Ruru's that I use for putting only.

Q*For you, are there any practice routines or drills you do to improve your game?

-Nothing specific. Keep throwing, analyse the flight of the disc and adjust your throw.

Q*With our sport growing at the rate it is what advice would you give to a newer player just starting out that may help improve their score on the course?

-Throw frisbees as much as you can, not only golf discs. Play throw & catch with a friend in the park or at the beach using a Ultrastar or a RPM TeMoko.

These disc are under stable and require you to think how to throw to make them fly.

10 to 15 minutes of throw & catch and you'll have thrown 100 discs.

Q*Do you intend to travel out side of your country at all this season?

-I'll be living in Europe most of this year, USA for Masters Worlds, Australian Nationals in November.

Q*A fun one: You can play any course in the world, If you could choose your other 3 card mates who would they be?

-Simon Feasey,

Jackson Sullivan,

Keith Inwood
