CRAIG SNOW

GET TO KNOW THE AMBASSADOR

When did you first discover disc golf and when did you know you absolutely loved it?

October 2016 the Wife( Jen Snow) and I were at a friends house for a BBQ and Mohawk park is across the street and a group of us went and played the course. Jen had already played a few time and had a starter set, this was my first time playing Disc Golf.

The next day Jen and I headed over to play Paris our home course. We ran into a few people out playing and they invited us to join them for a round. At the end of the round one of the guys gave me 3 discs and a small bag. It was that moment when I realized the community and the sport was much bigger then I had realized and wanted to be a part of it. That first week we played so many rounds and we continue to play as much as we can, even in 3 feet of snow! 3 discs and a small bag started the obsession with Disc Golf. I past on those 3 discs and the bag to a friend so he could start playing with us.

Just love being out with friends playing and having fun, a great way to spend the day!

What are some goals of yours for the 2019 season?

I want to improve every aspect of my game and have challenged myself this season to improve my rating.

I want to grow the sport in my area and have been planning events to do so as well.

What's your favourite RPM Disc in you bag right now and why?

TUI is my go to,off the tee, upshots and jump putts. I got my first Tui earlier this year and well now I bag 5 of them all different plastics and weights. 275Ft and in I have so much confidence and trust with this disc.

Throwing it has improved my form and game so much in a short period of time something no other disc has done for me. I can not wait to see what more time with it does for my game.

For you,are there and practice routines or drills you do to improve your game?

Back yard putting ,start at 5ft make 5 move back to 10 ft make 5 move back to 15ft and so on.

Field practice upshots 25 ft, 50ft, 75ft, 100ft same as putting routine.

With our sport growing at the rate it is what advice would you give to a newer player just starting out that may help improve their score on the course?

Get a TUI and throw it and learn everything that disc can do. This will help improve your form and teach you shot angles and releases. Then move on to faster discs...Practice, Practice, Practice...

Do you intend to travel outside of your country at all this season?

Yes want to play a few courses in the states.

You can play any course in the world, if you could choose your other 3 card mates who would they be?

Causal round at The Beast with the people I play with them most Jen snow, Dave Dalton and Vw Dave. I would love to share the experience with them.

If I had to pick Pros:

Simon Lizotte, not cause he can throw far but cause he just seems to have a positive attitude and always looks like he is enjoying every moment of playing. (wouldn't mind seeing him throw also).

Seppo Paju, just such a smooth form would love to see it in person.

Garrett Gurthie, just want to see those flex/ turn over shots in person

This would be a fun card to play on. They all really enjoy playing and are having a great time playing the sport we love.
